We dance,

we sing (with a sucker for a microphone),

we spin around.

Have you ever had a potato to do this?? I pricked it with a fork...several times! Noah and I were sitting in the kitchen and suddenly heard a "BOOM!" from the oven. Weird.

I have something to confess. What you might not know about this cutie...

is that at this very moment...

...he is sitting on his potty!!

Yes. I put my potty-trainer on his potty at the kitchen table. On a regular basis. (Sorry. It's true.) He sits here like this through many meals and even through school time. It works for us, because he can't just hop down from his little perch. So Mommy here can keep up a little better with what he's up to. Besides, he really enjoys sitting up at the table and working on puzzles or playing with little manipulatives or toys. I think it's really speeding up the whole training process, too, which can't be a bad thing, right?

Gabe is my little helper with folding laundry. He does a VERY good job and is still at an age in which he is eager to please Mommy. I'm taking advantage while I still can!

Today we were CRAZY and took off driving in heavy snow and freezing rain...just to get back home to be with family. Because. We had scheduled and rescheduled our family Christmas ENOUGH! And were determined to get. there. I'm so glad we did! This is my niece. She and Saylor played dress-up together ALL evening long. (Bonding over fashion.)

And the boys (nephew pictured on the left) bonded over...(what else?) video games.

Today we had our official Christmas brunch and family gift exchange. I had to post it separately here because there were too many pictures for Project 365. (I know. When has that stopped me before??)

Atticus was just happy to see "Woody Buzz" on his plate!! Ha!

My niece (above) and nephew (below).

Yeah. So if you know of anyone needing to get rid of a computer, let me know. It's not easy keeping up with the blog like this. Hence the late posting. Bleh. By contrast, be sure to stop by Sara's to see all the on-time posts. And have a great rest-of-the-week!!

  1. I am so impressed that Gabe folds. Elijah is the exact same age and he would only topple over. Only recently did I get him to stop pulling all his clothes out of his drawer when getting dressed :/

  3. I've had a potato catch fire in the microwave before - it was in one of those special cloth sleeve things that's suppose to make the skin crispy. It reacted like metal or something - scary!

  4. Ah, I knew the feeling of not getting on the computer because it's just not wanting to work. I hated it.

Whatever works to keep your little guy contained, and hey if he's outta diapers that much faster then BONUS!
