Sunday, November 27, 2011

This is a big day in Noah's life. He finally gets to watch this classic. Thank you, Poppy, for letting us crash here (and watch your cable) while we have a house showing.

Our Own "Poor Richard's Almanac"

I caught him helping her with something. *precious*

And thanks, Uncle Aubrey, for the glow-in-the-dark fun!

In-a-hurry, last-minute breakfast idea: pop a refrigerator pie crust on the counter to warm up while you preheat the oven, brush it with melted butter and lightly sprinkle Sucanat all over it. While it bakes for about 10 minutes, heat frozen peaches and raspberries (or whatever you have!) together with more butter and more Sucanat, maybe add a little arrowroot powder to thicken. Next, break the crust into pieces, top with fruit filling, pour heavy cream on top, and serve in a breakfast bowl.
Desperate times call for desperate measures.

I have no picture for today, it seems. But I can offer you a visual: me, bedraggled and worn out from last week's trip and this week's schooling, trying to clean AGAIN for ANOTHER house showing tomorrow, and the dryer? Still. not. fixed. Ya. Not pretty.

Tonight we hosted a special dinner at church for the students, parents, and teachers at our nearby elementary school who are part of a mentoring program our church heads up. I was there to sing. These are some of the guys who make music with me on a pretty regular basis. I always have so much fun hanging out with them.

Today we went out searching for this year's Christmas tree.

He was having an actual conversation with this little deer!

Told ya it would be Tuesday.  ;)  In my defense, though, I thought we were supposed to show the house again today, so I was a little busy. Oh, well. I'm once again linked up at Sara's Project 365.  And with that...I'm caught up. (At least for the time being.) AND my house is clean. Dear realtors, you may call and come over with your full-price offers anytime today.
