Finally getting my dryer fixed today.
Turns out a bird did major damage with its little nest. Damage to the tune of $300! Merry Christmas to me. :(

We were in Sam's today for a bit and got to try out the Xbox Kinect. Pretty cool. But also pretty expensive. Yikes!
And Atticus got to open a belated birthday gift that made his whole year!

It seems that big boys aren't quite as big as they sometimes want you to think.
We had friends over for dinner tonight. Eight children between the two families--so much fun!

I just told Saylor she's going to a baking day/sleepover (her first) in about an hour.
A great day for our princess.

I have been working hard all week on Christmas presents/projects for the speech therapist and our extended family.
I'm so grateful for my good helpers.
And then tonight we joined our community group to help serve a meal at the Union Rescue Mission.

Today we gathered with my family back home for our "Carpenter Family CHRISTmas." I forgot my camera at home (lame!), so I'll have to borrow shots from my sister-in-law. When she gets a chance.

We had another house showing today. Y'all, I want our house to sell, but THIS week?! Wow. I'm so stinkin' busy... But it was nice at dinner time to have all the dishes done, the kitchen clean, and all toys put away. I will admit that.

Noah had the sincere pleasure of putting together this year's ornament for Atticus. It's a snowman made out of Legos, because Atticus thinks Legos are way cool.

Mmmmm...How about some homemade marshmallows??
The little boys are certainly happy to help with clean-up.
And that's it for now.
I'll wrap up the weekend on my next P-365 post. 'Cause, I mean, dude, it's Christmas Eve! Go be with your families and enjoy the mess out of 'em. Also, in case you missed it, here's our Christmas card.
It's been a blast, Sara. Thanks for being the hostess with the mostess!

I adore all the homemade gifts. I love to open things that someone made just for me. The Christmas card was precious and I adored seeing all your children. You have such an adorable family. Merry Christmas to you.
ReplyDeletethe video was hilarious "Daddy's in charge of this house?!" you definitely need to save that in the wedding box!!!!
ReplyDeleteI made homemade salted vanilla caramel to give away this year....so yummy!!! I may have to post the recipe!
Merry Christmas!!!
Lovely family.

Sweet creative gifts.
And even homemade marshmallows!
Amazing clan!
Have a blessed Week 52b!
Love the fort kit - that's such a cool idea :) Alas, I am NOT crafty. The only way I can give gifts not made in China is to give money - ha!
ReplyDeleteThe look on Atticus' face opening that birthday present - priceless!
Oh, and I LOVED showers too when I was Saylor's age - little cakes & mints & watching people open presents? Too much fun!
