Project 365: Weeks 31 & 32 "it's a wild & crazy life"

Sunday, July 29, 2012

We had a sweet friend over to spend the night tonight. We were all so very excited and had to tell him all kinds of random facts and show him all our treasures.

Truly. I don't know what we did today. But I did come across more photos from Saturday the 28th. We went to the mall that day. (We never go to the mall.) But you can probably tell that by the way we acted.  :)

To the eye doctor we go...

The elevator was, admittedly, a fun temporary distraction.

Eye injuries BELONG to Noah. Apparently.

FYI, fingernails and eyes don't belong anywhere near one another.
(He's fine, by the way.)

Lately Atticus has been waking up around 7:00 and then getting in bed with me and falling right back asleep.

I don't mind it one bit.

Saylor's little friend came to play today. They've missed each other.

About my last "Project 365" post: I sort of left you hanging about some changes taking place for us this year. :) Well, here's a hint. We went shopping today.

And then this evening Paul and I had a date with just Noah. It was one of his birthday presents, so he cashed it in tonight. We did a date with him once before, and he wanted to recreate that one almost exactly! His favorite restaurant, hanging out at Best Buy, and then ice cream. (Yes, he still needs to wear sunglasses at all hours of the day. It was a very bad scratch.)

Week 32:

Okay. Zappos is turning me into a bit of a shoe addict. (I would never actually SPEND that amount on shoes. But I definitely wish I could.) It's pretty pathetic.

It rained some this afternoon. We were overjoyed.

Our 13th Anniversary!!

It was a very full day. First, we went to the pool.

Then we did a little school.

And THEN Paul took me out on a date to Brave New Restaurant (my fave) and to Barnes and Noble just for quiet browsing, which we both enjoy.

When we returned, we found that our precious babysitter had helped the kids to make us cards.

Today we visited an old favorite of ours: The Wonder Place. We haven't been since Atticus was teeny tiny and still fit in a newborn sling. So, really, it was a new adventure for both Gabriel (who would have been maybe 17- to 18-months at the time) and Atticus. Noah was a little disappointed about going here at first, thinking there'd be nothing for him to do. Uh, but he was mistaken. Go here to see all the rest of the photos. It was such a fun day.

After spending ALL day playing, we walked next door and had a bakery treat...but by then no one wanted their picture taken any.more.

We finished up just about the time a major storm blew in. It was definitely a little Mary Poppin's-esque on our way to the car.

Get a load of these expressions! (I was dying laughing.)

His hair!!

We are so sad we can not make the 4-hour drive to Texas on Saturday to celebrate birthdays with cousins. We had to mail their gifts today. :(

Don't ever let your husband decide it's time to buy a car in August...in Arkansas. If you can help it.

Saturday, August 11, 2012

Today was a day of many, many errands.
But it was nice to end it with a little family Skype session.

We even got to see a certain princess open her present from us!

Love and miss our cousins, aunts, and uncles! The world can be such a big place sometimes. Thank you, Skype, for making it just a little bit smaller. And thank you, Sara, for hosting Project 365. It is really nice to be able to go back and see what ALL we've been doing over the past three years.

  1. Looks like someone is going to school(what do you call it - NON home-school? Heh)... If it's Saylor she looks excited :)

LOVE Atticus's hair in the windy picture - so funny!
