Paul has his car for sale on Craigslist at the moment, so he's been spending a lot of the weekend visiting car lots with one or several kiddos. Today, apparently, there was an empty golf cart. Just sitting there. WITH the keys left in it. And...apparently, that proved far too tempting for a certain daddy and his son who happen to enjoy a good race ever so often.

Doing a little "summer" school.

Saylor invited her little brothers for breakfast in her bedroom.
In the mail today:
Would you just LOOK at these adorable school boxes Aunt Erin made for us?!
She's the bomb diggidy. Totally.

Gabe made "Mat Man" today. I love this lesson in Handwriting Without Tears.
By the way, he thought it was funny to turn his mouth upside down. Not because he wanted to make a frown. But because it made a great mustache! ;)

It's "Meet the Teacher" night at our elementary school. Yes. If you haven't figured it out by now, our three kiddos are enrolled in public school for this school year. And I'M a nervous wreck!!
Noah wanted his picture taken beside the giraffe border in his classroom so Mimi could see it.
Gabe's teacher asked for a bear hug. :)

Today is our last weekday together before school starts, so we decided to J-U-M-P it away...with our sweet friends whom we've missed terribly.

More car shopping today. The highlight for us all was seeing this very unique ride.
And Atticus was our chauffeur.

For the past several Sundays some of the couples at our church stayed for lunch and took part in a mini 'Ted Tripp' parenting seminar.
Later this afternoon when we had to pick up a few things at Whole Foods, we happened to see a few interesting characters loitering on the parking lot at the neighboring Dixie Cafe.
Note the VERY appropriate attire below. Unplanned!!
Then Noah made friends with the Vitamix guy. (He's still a sucker for a good infomercial.)
Saylor thought this guy looked an awful lot like Rifleman, one of her favorite shows, oddly enough.
;)
And since it was such a day of relaxing, we had the neighbors over for a little splash jumping
(aka sprinkler under the trampoline).
Oops. Got caught.
Stay tuned for our first week of school. As you can see by how EXTREMELY far behind I am, it's been BUSY. I'm not even sure I can begin to dig myself out from under the bloggy pile-up.
Poor Sara probably thought I'd dropped off the face of the planet by now.
But no such luck. I'm linkin' up!

My nose made the blog! My kids hung out with the Vitamix guy quite a lot for free samples.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a lot of fun for the last week of summer. Love that gotcha picture of Noah :)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to hear how school is working out!
