After ridding this corner of its CHRISTmas tree, cleaning the house, and showing it yesterday, we set up the boys' racetrack here and let them go to town with it. It was the first thing they wanted to do when we got home from church today, though THESE photos are actually from Saturday. Read on and you'll see why I have no photo for today...

Do you remember when I wrote about Counting to One Thousand? Well, it's a new year, and I was thinking it might be nice...it might be a helpful exercise for this selfish heart of mine...to make it a daily habit. To list things as they come and...even...to share them with you. So I'm daring to take the "Joy Dare," and I pray that as I count the gifts that my Father bestows on me, my gratitude will equal greater joy in Him.
After a morning of cooking and cleaning and last minute here and theres, we had a late lunch (or was it an early dinner?? Linner? Dunch? Who knows with these crazy Davidsons...) with some of the Davidson family. These two were completely occupied with Uncle Aubrey's binoculars, which he sent them home with, by the way. Thanks, Uncle Aubrey!!
And then Saylor and I got to church early to do a little sangin'.
