Monday, May 23, 2011
Today we Skyped with Saylor, who is spending the week with Mimi and Da. She was all dressed up for a tea party in the "castle tower."
And...happy birthday to my Gabriel!! Four. years. old. today! Oh, my. How did that happen?
Tuesday, May 24, 2011
My nephew and niece and their parents from out-of-town surprised us with a visit today. And we blew a few bubbles.

The boys had a little outdoor playtime in the water today.

What boys do with their free time:
What girls do (with their Mimis)...when away from said boys:

This is Gabriel with his "big, giant lollipop" (from his party) that I told him he could lick if he took a nap today. Yes, I bribe people to sleep at times. I'm not above it.
And...Sister came home tonight!!

This morning we took part in a very special memorial service.
And then we had a wonderful cookout and fellowship with our community group.

Swimmin' at Poppy's.

Eatin' artichokes.
Saylor, thoroughly exhausted, fell asleep WHILE I was singing a song to her!
Tuesday, May 31, 2011
Welp. It was supposed to be a spelling activity...

Today is a very, very big day.
Our princess--our very own Rapunzel--
...got her hair braided...
and then...
(drum roll please)
...got it all whacked off!
To do this.
She's a whole new girl!

Today was Gabe's last day of speech therapy. He'll retest in the fall, but his therapist thinks he'll test out. She has been such a blessing. So Gabe showered her with gifts today. (Mommy had to carry the candle and card.)
And we had dinner with friends. This was just too precious to miss.
Friday, June 3, 2011
Today we went to a one-day women's retreat-type event. The kids got to do camp activities all day. I forgot the camera. :(
Saturday, June 4, 2011
Saylor and I attended a baby shower.
These girls were so happy to see one another.
I know this post was major photo overload. Sorry. I was just so behind. This week should be much easier to manage. Should be. Let's hope anyway. If you lasted this whole long post, you're awesome. Thanks! I'm linked up over at Sara's Project 365.

Lori, your photos are stunning, and the stories they tell, very meaningful. No need to apologize for the 'overload'.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday, belatedly, to Gabriel.
These weeks I have been working on photo books for our graduate, and went through many recital pics and much more. So many sweet memories. A lot of work, totally worth it. You will have an easier time of it as you are keeping up as you go and now we enjoy new technology.
Thanks for sharing, Lori!
Lot's of wonderful pictures this week!
ReplyDeleteBoth the DD and myself have done Love Lock's donation a few times. It is such a wonderful ministry!
Blessings

ALL those water pictures really make me feel like summer is here. We here in CA are experiencing June gloom so not too much sun here yet. What a beautiful backdrop for her dance recital!! She looks so cute with short hair and what a great cause she supported. She should be very proud or herself. And those cute boys...oh my goodness!!
ReplyDeleteOh what a lot of GREAT pictures this week! Love the dance recital, Gabe on his birthday, the water fighting... And that's just awesome that Saylor gave away her hair - and her new cut is so cute!
ReplyDeletemade it through and loved all the pictures. I actually was thinking, "what kind of camera does she use?". Your pictures look so good. It is so good you are doing this. My scrapbooking is already years behind and that doesn't really include journaling of the everyday stuff that is so precious. Looks like your life is full to the brim. Love it!
ReplyDeleteWow! that was lots of pictures. Love all the kids shots...happy and joyful...
