After church we headed over to one of our farmer's markets for a "Watermelon Fest."
Some of us even dressed for the occasion.
Noah brought a friend along and they made a purchase for us at the last minute.
Which gave me the opportunity to snap a few pics. hee hee
Whoops!
Unfortunately, you don't get to enjoy any photos of us smashing our faces into watermelons or spitting seeds for a contest, because they held all those fun activities WHILE us church-goers were in church, which is decidedly unfair if you ask me. Hmm.

Our sweet nephew, Ezra, is staying with us tonight. He's learned to sit up AND play the piano! We're so stinkin' proud of him.
Meanwhile, his daddy had fun playing Wii with Noah. :)

We spent the evening in Conway with the fam today. And, of course, we had to do a little swimmin'.

We got bunches of haircuts today. Three boys. Whew!

Tonight we had dinner out with Paul's side of the family. Tomorrow's the big day...

Poppy's getting married!
THEN...
we did even more swimming, if you can believe it.
After a very sun-drenched day, we "flew" home so that Paul and Saylor could attend yet another wedding today! I didn't think the little boys could make it through another one, so I was left home with three boys PLUS two neighbors who ended up being absolutely wild!
Meanwhile, this is what Saylor was doing:
I'm sad the video is so terribly short, but I can at least see the happiness on her face. She loves Mr. Bob...and the groom, actually. She was definitely in her element. Girl loves dressing up in long, smocked dresses, dancing, eating cake, socializing, and seeing the happy couple in their most romantic moment.
Gonna have to watch her like a hawk... ;)
As you can SEE, it was a long, eventful week for us. Overwhelming might be another word to describe it. But it's over, and it was certainly memorable. I'll bet'cha I win the "prize" for the most photos this week among the Project365 gals. Not really an honor, actually, considering the whole point is to take ONE picture per day. But it couldn't be helped.

I don't know - I usually have the most pictures, but maybe you have me beat :) I don't even TRY to do just one pic per day.
ReplyDeleteLove the picture where Noah catches you taking his picture - ha! And your sweet nephew. And congrats to Poppy & his bride & can I have some of the chocolate strawberry cake?
Big week, great pics, wonderful events and family time!
ReplyDeleteLove the blue water--so inviting!
And I love farmers' markets.
ReplyDeleteLearned a watermelon recipe this week with oil, feta and herb dressing--refreshing.
I love farmers markets and festivals. I too hate it that all the fun stuff is during church time....the devil really uses that one well. Loved the kid picks and the wedding.
