Project 365: Week 26

Father's Day

We took Paul out for lunch today at ZaZa's, a local restaurant that uses many fresh, local ingredients. Suits us. It was delish.

And then we splurged on gelato.

Poor Atticus fell asleep in the car between church and the restaurant. So he missed the entire meal!

Noah went to his first day of VBS at a nearby church, so the others needed something fun to do. We found it.

Oh, yes. Yes, it has arrived! It was a long five and a half weeks. Very long.

I think they're actually sparkling!!!!

It's 2:19 p.m. Something's verrrrry wrong with this picture.

Thursday, June 24, 2010

Sure enough. Noah ran fever all afternoon and through the night last night. He's quarantined today. But Mommy's not. I have a Women's Fellowship tonight, and I'm bringing a dessert: Rhubarb Crisp. (One of my favorites.)

Daddy treated us with his presence today. We LOVE when he surprises us with a "day off." We would have thought it couldn't get any better, but it did. He took us all to see Toy Story 3.

And I'm not kidding you. Atticus sat just. like. this. the entire movie!!

Saturday, June 26, 2010

After staying the night at Poppy's house last night, we had a quick morning swim before doing our Saturday food runs.

Bless his heart: Atticus slept late and missed all the fun. Again. Obviously, we are wearing the boy slap out. Honestly, I could have joined him. Any other "Project 365" participants worn out? See for yourselves over at Sara's.

  1. Sounds like a fun and busy summer! I think Toy Story 3 was the movie to see this past week...we went on Tuesday night at the drive-in. It was good, but I liked the first one the best I think! Hope you have another great week!

  3. Ryan took the kids to see the movie last night...I was really torn between seeing it or having some alone time to clean. Atticus is awesome with his glasses. Sis would not even question playing with Play-Doh while wearing a tiara.

  4. I have heard Toy Story 3 is an excellent movie...

That pizza and salad look so good that my mouth is watering and I just finished eating dinner so it shouldnt be doing that!

  5. My very first question when I saw the theater was wondering about Atticus. It MUST be a good movie if he sat through the whole thing.

    That restaurant sounds yummy!

Congrats on the new dishwasher...you earned it!

I try not to keep playdough in the house. Makes me feel a little like a bad mom, but that's the way it is.

That intense look of concentration on Atticus's face is awesome!

  7. I can see why you are worn out!
We took Amaia to see Toy Story 3 yesterday, but not 3D. I wonder how different that would feel? Maybe I would have stayed awake more. Guess I'm worn out too ;)
