The Davidson Den Wishes You a Very Merry Christmas

Two years ago I posted a video these guys did back in 1998. It was the original. This one is ten years later. Still makes me giddy with Christmas spirit. How could it not? They've changed and grown a bit--but so have we! Check out the link above. (Two years makes a lot of difference.)

For reasons that will become clear shortly, this one is dedicated to our Rackleys:

(Merry Christmas "Down in Africa," dear Rackley family.)

This. This is just astoundingly, unspeakably beautiful. Get ready for cold chills...

(Yes, I heard the one bad note. But you know what? Completely forgiveable! I adore this!!)

And last, but not least, this is our Christmas card to you:

We pray your Christmas is meaningfully focused on the One who humbled Himself to save even me, even you. May your love for Him grow with each day He gives you to live. And may you bless others because He's blessed you. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

From Kampala to Gulu: An Opportunity for YOU to Serve

First...they moved from Little Rock...

to Kampala, Uganda.

And now...after almost a year, they are moving north to Gulu. You may have heard of it. If not, please click the link...and learn. Learn well.

The Rackleys are our very good friends who...

have a heart for the unreached, the orphaned, the fearful, the ashamed, and the lonely.

They have a heart for God's Kingdom.

They also have six children living with them in Africa. And a requirement to pay six months of rent in advance for their new home in Gulu. And moving, in general, is expensive. And they need your help.

They need YOU to be used by God to help them get to Gulu.

So.

Can you spare FIVE DOLLARS?

FIVE measly dollars??!?

Can you take two minutes of your time NOW to visit their blog, click the DONATE button, and give FIVE DOLLARS to this Suubi Family so they can go do God's work there?

Right now.

Because time is of the essence, as they are having a Blog-a-Thon that will only last two more days.

So--before things get too busy for you...

and before you go spend too much money on more stuff...

click and donate. (It is tax-deductible.)

Please.

And I'd love for you to comment here to let me know you did. I mean, it's FIVE DOLLARS. No big deal. Right? Tell your friends. Share or like this post on Facebook, Tweet it, share it however you can and in as many ways. (All of the required buttons are lined up and conveniently waiting for you just at the end of this post.)

Thanks, friendly blog readers across the world! And Merry CHRISTmas!!

Project 365: Week 50 "solos, snow, and sparkling lights"

Sunday, December 4, 2011

Tonight our church had a way-fun, in-house Christmas concert and party. Saylor and I both sang solos, but she was definitely the sweetest.

There was other entertainment as well. We are nothing if not a FUN church.

See what I mean?

My children.

God love 'em.

They somehow managed to do this...

to a very nice La-z-boy recliner we've had for over seven years.

Hoping my dad can fix it.  ????????
But in the meantime, I'm putting them to work picking off all the little balls from the slipcover that was on it.

These two were loving on each other this morning while I cooked breakfast.

Friday, December 9, 2011

These two bonded over "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?" It's a computer game.

Saturday, December 10, 2011

Tonight we went to a CHRISTmas party.

How great are these little trees made with scrapbook paper? My friend Sue is the creative hand behind these cuties. I'm thinking they should totally be on Pinterest if they're not already! By the way, my Pinterest button is at the top of the screen. **sigh** Pinterest is about the funnest thing ever. Yes?

And then we drove by the Capitol building to see how well it glowed.

We thought it was doing a pretty good job. I hope you are all enjoying your CHRISTmas season! Don't forget to stop by Sara's to check on the others.

This is a big day in Noah's life. He finally gets to watch this classic. Thank you, Poppy, for letting us crash here (and watch your cable) while we have a house showing.

Project 365: Week 48 "part 2: perpetually behind on project 365"

Okay. Fair warning: There are a lot of pictures in this post. But at least there won't be a lot of reading. ;)

Today it was Atticus's turn to partay!

Two afternoon parties in as many days wore this little one slap out!
He was sound asleep before 7:00 tonight.
(Yes. Two. Saylor's was Saturday.)
