Project 365: Week 16 "around the house"

Sunday, April 15, 2012

If you'll remember, last week I left you hanging, wondering what in the world our neighbor wanted to give us out of the back of his truck...

Well, it was delivered today and we put it together. Can you guess yet? (See last picture if you're still not sure.)

While we did that, Atticus played in the dirt.

Pants that look like this are almost a daily occurrence around here. At least the dirt was dry today...

I woke up this morning to find not one, but two little people in bed with me. Must have been a rough night!

Gabriel got a big, bad splinter in his foot yesterday off a friend's deck. Wanted a souvenir, I guess. ;) Anyway, it was crazy deep, and I couldn't get it out without him writhing in pain. So Paul took him to a walk-in clinic today. They gave him a shot to numb it. Paul said he didn't make a single sound.
So brave! Bye bye, splinter.
He was rewarded with ice cream and a trip to work with Daddy for the rest of the day.

I'm so excited to be bringing my husband with me tonight to do the big shopping trip!

I got a Worker's Pass (and got to shop at 5:30 p.m.) because I blogged for them. Nice, huh?
It was, by far, the best Rhea Lana experience I ever had. JUST because my man was there.

Saylor was my very good helper today. She made lunch pretty much all by herself.

Littlest Brother has obviously rubbed off on some of the older ones...

And last but not least, here's the big reveal:

Thank you, Neighbor!

We had a full and busy week just hanging out around the house. What about the rest of y'all? Be sure to check out everyone's week at Sara's blog.

P.S. - In case you missed our Easter pictures, go check 'em out here.

  1. Oh my, takes me back to my mommy days. Dirty blue jeans was a staple around my house when my son was a hard playing little boy! He is all grown up now and I get to enjoy a hard playing little grand baby so it's sorta like life coming full circle!

    Beautiful children!
    Blessings

  3. If kids jeans aren't dirty, then they are being kids is my view!!!

Yay for a trampoline! I have to admit that is not what I guessed. Your kids are going to love it!

  5. Okay, I didn't guess that you were putting together a trampoline. Growing up I always wanted one!

I kind of miss the days where I didn't mind playing in the dirt. Those were good days!

And that book looks like all sort of trouble!

  6. I love the many hats - & super scooter boy :) Can I borrow Saylor to have her cook dinner for me? She'd probably do a better job - ha!
