Muffin Tin Monday

Finally I decided to take pictures of us doing a Muffin Tin Meal. Finally. SOME people do this weekly! And SOME people have really cute muffin tins, liners, and FOOD. I do not have that sort of time or energy. But. My kiddos don't care. They love anything out-of-the-ordinary. And today we ate our meal in the living room at our teeny, tiny picnic table while watching Charlie Brown. What could be better?

Each child had six cups. We had homemade guacamole, organic tortilla chips, French-cut carrots, blueberries, olives and cheese, and banana boats.

Some of us even wore our fancy jewelry!

I only have gigantic 12-cup muffin tins, so the kids have to sit close together to share. It works great at our Little Tikes table, because they fit just right. The kids sitting across from each other share a tin.

Miriam and I had to eat our meal on boring, old plates. Talk about unfair!!

Today I'm linked up with Muffin Tin Mom.

  1. Those banana boats look yummy. I wonder if my son would eat those.

  2. My kids love them! Sometimes they even pass for dessert! I just replace the raisins with chocolate chips or M&M's or something fun like that.

  3. Well, look who's joining in! Phooey, we didn't do one this weekend. And I don't think anyone wants to see a picture of our paper plate meal today.

  4. No need for fancy tins. If the kids enjoy it, that's all that matters! :0)

  5. Lori! This is great! :) I don't think I've ever seen a banana boat before - it looks yummy.

You had fancy jewelry, so I think you win. :)

  6. I love that I am not the only one who doesn't get fancy! You are right about the kids just loving something different. I do have heart shaped ones, but only 2 (and 4 kids) so we swap who get them!

  7. I don't get fancy either :) I love the banana boat. Storing that idea in the back of my head to see if I can get my daughter to eat peanut butter that way.

  8. Fun! Glad you joined in. I love the banana boat idea, but alas, neither of mine will touch peanut butter. Maybe for me ...
