Project 365: Week 29 "what we do"

Sunday, July 15, 2012

We were happy to be hosting Aunt Wendy, Uncle Mert, and Ezra again today. After all sleeping very late (see last week to understand why we were so exhausted), the boys spent some time together with their heads buried in technology.

And we had a late lunch together, which was great fun.

Just ask these two:

And to top it all off, we adults even played Spades and had such a great conversation--something we haven't done in a very, very long time...now that MILES and circumstances are between us.

Our family's headed back home today. We're gonna miss them so.

Saylor and I enjoyed a little school time together...despite the mess.

Noah was at Day Camp all day. Here he is at around 6:00 p.m. just getting home. He's certainly looking well-sunned.

"More School Scenes" OR "A Morning Full of Lazy Phone Pics"

Thursday, July 19, 2012

We were at the free movies again this week. This time it was Babe, and we met some sweet friends there to make it even more exciting.

Gabe's being shy.

Five of the six kiddos waiting for the show to begin:

Afterwards, the youngest two played behind these glass doors.

So cute.

Gabriel helped dust our armoire shelf this evening. He loves using my Norwex Dust Mitt.

We're reading Alice in Wonderland at night. I've been turning off all the lights and reading to the kids by flashlight, while they snuggle in their beds. It's the only way I've found to keep the little boys IN the room while I read aloud NON-picture books.

We. did. nothing. today. Just quietly hung out. Did a little organizing and cleaning, but that was about it. So I didn't bother with a picture apparently. It just so happened that Gabriel insisted Paul take a couple of him. Good thing!

Posting at 11:30 p.m. still counts as getting it in on Sunday. It does. Never mind that most of the Project 365 ladies over at Sara's are already snoozing by now. That's neither here nor there. I still made it on time. Ahem...

  1. It definitely counts, as long as it gets in before midnight :) I actually was awake then, after I woke up thinking someone was stealing our car! Turns out it was merely my husband putting our car in the yard after he remembered he'd left it on the street in front of our house (not a good thing to do here so we always put it in the side yard with the gate locked). *sigh* Wish I'd been sleeping though!

Anyway, enjoyed your photos! You do a great job catching the kids being natural :) That's something I always had a hard time doing because as soon as I got the camera out, my two would start hamming it up. The little ones are too cute playing behind the glass doors :) Free movies! Sounds like a good deal.

    Have a wonderful week!

  4. I'm glad you got to visit with family - AND have adult conversation.

You're children are adorable as usual - love seeing them work so diligently on their schoolwork.
