Project 365: Weeks 9 & 10...& 11 (whew!)

Sunday, February 26, 2012

Sundays are often very busy days for us, especially on the mornings I sing. Or if we're having an open house, for instance! So, I didn't get a picture until bedtime tonight. This expression on Saylor's face here reminds me of Drew Barrymore for some reason. See it??

SCHOOL SCENES:

Filling a "cotton boll" with itty bitty seeds.

Uh...we might have gotten a little distracted here...

Gabe's back on track making pairs.

They take after their daddy. <sigh>

SCHOOL SCENES:

Getting the itty bitty seeds back OUT of the cotton wasn't quite so simple.

Gabriel spelling. Spelling Gabriel.

SCHOOL SCENES:

A cell model, complete with nucleus and organelles. Bonus feature: grape-scented.

And...Poppy stopped by for a Nerf gun fight!

Saturday, March 3, 2012

I spoke at a baby shower today. Apparently because I'm the mother of three boys. :)

Sunday, March 4, 2012

People used to tell me my kids were always so well-dressed.
Hmm... don't think anyone's saying that today. Can you tell that I sang again today? And, perhaps, that some of us woke up a little late?

Saylor got to have a friend over after church. (I promise Saylor didn't wear that top to church. SHE was well-dressed.)

Monday, March 5, 2012

Have you been reading my "Joy Dare" posts?? I'm counting gifts to one thousand. One of my gifts recently was this "Gift of Tin":

Paul and I bought this on our honeymoon to Maine. We had a nautical honeymoon, so we wanted some things to bring back to decorate a nautical room in our new home.

Gabriel got this LeapPad all set up with two sets of headphones for he and Atticus (while the rest of us were busy with school). They were hilarious laughing at the noises and...Gabriel's antics.

Wednesday, March 7, 2012

Thanks to Sara's ultra-successful Norwex party (my very first demonstration), I was able to purchase this awesome food dehydrator for my family!!

Tonight we were blessed to have Aunt Wendy come for a visit, along with Poppy.

Atticus couldn't be left out.

Saturday, March 10, 2012

I had a Women's Fellowship this morning, and when I returned this is what greeted me at the door!

After the shock wore off, we headed out to Conway to visit with Aunt Wendy and Poppy a bit more. Noah and Poppy played a rousing game of "Dodge Sock."

Sunday, March 11, 2012

Still in Conway...and after a bit of a rough night (Atticus cried a lot out of exhaustion), we opted to stay home and watch church live online. (It is SUCH a blessing to have this option!)

Saylor was concerned that Mr. Bob might not know that we were watching, so I played the little birdie. And then they gave her a "shout out" by name! This is her reaction to hearing the whole congregation shout, "Hi, Saylor!"  ;)

Monday, March 12, 2012

We had a house showing today, and I had an appointment at the very same time, so Paul took the kids shopping. This is classic Davidson shopping.

Dry grass is good for something:

Wednesday, March 14, 2012

Cousins came to visit today!!

Thursday, March 15, 2012

You really must go here to read some amazing news about Gabriel.

And...Happy Birthday, Cousin Ezra!! Wish we could've been there with sweet, little you!

Two songbirds. One actor.

Three weeks in one. That's gotta be some sort of record. And I wasn't even "fasting" from anything like Sara has been! I just got so stinkin' behind!! And had to put y'all through the ringer to get all caught up. Forgive me??

  2. It looks like you guys had a busy and fun week. I loved looking at all the pictures and I'm seriously impressed with your homeschooling! I admire the parents who have the patience and ability to do it. I still end my sentences with prepositions so I'm thinking I would be a homeschool failure. Have a wonderful Sunday!
