Project 365: Week 7

We had some friends over to watch the Super Bowl. Well, I should probably clarify. The guys watched. We gals talked cloth diapers. And the kids ran around playing hide-and-seek. Can't imagine how I forgot to take a picture! I guess I'll just have to include another memorable moment of the evening.

We got tons of ice and snow during the night and woke up to a beautiful snowy day. I'm talking HUGE snow flakes. I hadn't seen snow like that in a long, long time. Gorgeous! We made snow ice cream for dessert--one of my favorite memories as a child.

I guess it was an ice-themed evening, because dinner was frozen pizza. See Gabe's messy face?

The roads refroze during the night, so Daddy stayed home. Which, among other joyous things, meant wrestling!

We made lots of valentines today in preparation for our class parties at Academy.

Thursday, February 11, 2010

After staying up late to get everything done in time for the Academy Valentine's parties, I finally sat down for a second to check my email. Wish I had done that earlier, because there was a message announcing that Academy had been cancelled due to icy conditions. Good grief. However, I was so incredibly thankful for a break. I needed to stay home! We vegged, to say the least. And this little guy got TWO good naps, as opposed to just one like he normally gets on Thursdays at Academy.

  8. Beautiful tulips, beautiful child sleeping. Unexpected days off are such a treat, found time with nothing on the agenda.

Love that you went back and recorded your fall festivities instead of just skipping it all together. Now you have it!
